Course Description
Six USCAP educators (recently vaccinated) traveled to Palm Springs to conduct interactive microscopy sessions broadcast live for the 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting with interactive Q&A, reflecting their academic expertise and experience. The Academy is pleased to offer access to Dr. Rhonda Yantiss’s study session with focus on the learning objectives below. Dr. Yantiss is Professor of Pathology at Weill Cornell Medicine. She currently serves as the Chair of USCAP’s Education Committee.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this educational activity, learners will be able to:

  • Recognize features that facilitate classification of ischemic patterns of injury
  • Develop a differential diagnosis for patterns of injury in the stem cell transplant patient
  • Identify infectious organisms in biopsy material

Target Audience
Practicing academic and community pathologists, and pathologists-in-training
