Course Description
Celebrate learning with an amazing mentoring experience where four stars in the galaxy of soft tissue pathology create a constellation of cases that explore the patterns of superficial and deep lesions and those involving the gastrointestinal tract, abdominal cavity, and retroperitoneum. Discover the patterns related to diagnostic criteria that correlate with molecular adjuncts and clinical behavior. From spindle cells to myxoid expressions, the images are challenging and mesmerizing.

Practicing academic and community pathologists, and pathologists-in-training

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this educational activity, learners will be able to:

  • Develop a differential diagnosis for soft tissue tumors based on anatomic site
  • Develop a differential diagnosis for soft tissue tumors based on depth and on predominant cytologic patterns
  • Apply immunohistochemistry to resolve the differential diagnosis for soft tissue tumors
  • Understand the role of molecular genetics (especially FISH) for the diagnosis of soft tissue tumors

The United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology designates this enduring material for a maximum of 11.75 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

USCAP is approved by the American Board of Pathology (ABPath) to offer Self-Assessment credits (SAMs) and Lifelong Learning (Part II) credit for the purpose of meeting the ABPath requirements for Continuing Certification (CC). Registrants must take and pass the post-test in order to claim SAMs credit. Physicians can earn a maximum of 11.75 SAM/Part II credit hours.
