• Describe the major subtypes of lung cancer including characteristic morphologic and immunohistochemical features.
• Discuss clinical, radiologic, and histopathologic findings that may help identify metastatic vs primary lung disease.
• Describe the more commonly encountered non-neoplastic interstitial lung disease entities and diagnostic features that would favor one over another.
• Discuss the approach to a non-neoplastic lung biopsy, especially with respect to what questions the clinician wants to have answered to help guide patient care.
