  • Identify the key clinical, laboratory and histologic features for each of the histologic patterns of medical liver disease that allow for the selection of a specific diagnosis
  • Recognize the disease states that cause chronic hepatitis and the clinical, laboratory and histologic features that allow them to be distinguished
  • An understanding of the characteristic histologic features that allow clear separation of the various patterns of medical liver disease
  • Identify the clinically relevant histologic features of biopsies from patients with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
  • Recognize the histologic features that are clinically relevant for donor liver organ evaluation
