Learning Objectives:
  • Recognize the spectrum of "clear cell", "eosinophilic" and "blue" renal neoplasms and became aware of the recently described novel and emerging renal epithelial neoplasms.
  • Develop a diagnostic approach to work-up common and uncommon renal tumors, particularly on needle-core biopsy.
  • Recognize the important diagnostic issues and pitfalls in renal tumor pathology and describe how to judiciously use immunohistochemistry in the work-up of renal tumors in line with the best practices.
